What is AWANA?

AWANA stands for “Approved Workman Are Not Ashamed”, which comes from 2Timothy 2:15 which says, “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth.”

  • Cubbies (3 - 5 years)
  • Sparks (K-2nd grade)
  • T&T (3rd-6th grade)

The goal of AWANA is to help children come to KNOW God and GROW in their walk with God through learning from the Bible. A normal AWANA evening consists of 3 parts:

  1. Handbook time: Children get the opportunity to memorize key verses from the Bible
  2. Game time: High energy group games
  3. Counsel time: Singing, Bible lessons, skits, object lessons all to teach about God and His Word
  4. COST - There is NO cost to you. Countryside Bible Church views it as a privilege to work with your children and covers the cost of your child’s handbook, AWANA uniform and awards.
